I just came across this in a Country Aircheck eblast:
Radio. It’s Pretty Big: PPM data from Arbitron show that Los Angeles radio reaches 9.2 million people during an average weekday in the city, more than four times the reach of the city’s 12 largest newspapers combined. Arbitron revealed the findings during a meeting in L.A. today. In addition, PPM data show that 20 L.A. stations reach more than a million listeners per week, in contrast with the six stations exceeding one million listeners reported under the diary system. So take that skeptics! People are still listening to the radio.
