The list is out! The 10 Most Hated Baby Names. Is your child’s name on the list?
I tell you, this is one of the more difficult topics to tell on the radio, given the following quote.
When Toronto police constable Michael Sanguinetti said that women should avoid dressing “like sluts” in order to prevent themselves from being raped, protests erupted internationally.
Something like 3-4k women showed up for the protest. Today, there are many more of these events scheduled in places across the country like Reno, Seattle, Chicago, and Austin.

It’s time for another exciting installment of “Rick Hall and family” hunt for a church.
Over the weekend, I stopped by Green Valley Christian Center for the first time. I didn’t even make it to the door before I was greeted by Vic Kundargi, who I would later find out was the associate pastor of the church. Upon hearing that I was a newcomer to the church, Kundargi brought me inside to introduce me to associate pastor Steve Withey.
It’s one thing to be greeted by a volunteer, but it’s another to be greeted by someone who has a vested interest in the church (ie: a paycheck). Nice work guys. I think I’ll visit again next Sunday.
LOVE YOUR CHURCH? Let me know. Because we’re new to the area, we’re looking for a church. I’d love to know about where you go to church and why.
I love it! Someone actually had to yell “Stop the Presses” over at the New York Times production plant. Get this, the last time that they had to scrap the printing of the paper was during the first gulf war.

Being new to the area, my wife and I are still in the process of locating that church ‘home.’ Finding a church can be a daunting task full of disappointments.
What if I like it but she doesn’t? Even worse– what if she loves the church and I hate it?
Combine these questions along with the emotions that come along when the two of you visit a church and mutually decide that it’s not for you … you’ve got a recipe for frustration.
Let’s be frank- we love and value our weekends. The last thing we want to do on a Sunday morning is rush out the door to grab a seat in the pew only to realize that the church we worked so hard to get to wasn’t for us. A big part of me would rather just sleep in than fight the fight.
A friend of mine is in the early stages of getting divorced. He and his wife have been through pastoral counseling, marriage counseling, and have taken countless relationship building trips together. The two have done exactly everything that you would think one would need to do to overcome troubles in their relationship. Even with all of their attempts to climb this mountain, nothing seems to be working. According to my friend, divorce must be the only option.

Here at the radio station, we’re encouraging listeners to add one more item to their New Years Resolution list. It’s called the 30-Day Challenge. Since I’ve moved to Las Vegas, I have heard countless stories of the troubles that families in this area are dealing with. From divorce and death to lack of work, home foreclosures, evictions, and repossessions, it seems like just about everyone is dealing with one of life’s most difficult situations.
The 30-Day Challenge
Here’s where the 30-Day Challenge comes in. For the next 30-days, commit to listening to nothing but SOS Radio. When you jump in the car, turn on SOS Radio and leave it on. Don’t switch to any other radio stations.
At home, tune your clock radio to SOS Radio. Instead of waking up to that annoying buzzing sound, wake up to music that’s encouraging.
At work, turn the switch. Go in the back room, blow the dust off of the office stereo, and put on SOS. If you think you’d get in trouble for doing that, try listening online. I’d hate to get you fired.
A pilot spilled a cup of joe over his controls, causing a malfunction to take place that sent a distress message to ground control. The whole incident forced the plane to land.
We all make mistakes at work. It’s tough to laugh over these things when we’re in the middle of the situation, but when we’re on the other side we usually can laugh over our mistakes. What sort of blunders have you caused in the office?
Join Rick Hall and Bob Waliszewski as they discuss this weekends wide release of “Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn.”
